The IPC project originally was created in 2004 as a study course concept for all kinds of subjects and contents developed at the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt by Prof. Dr. Jean-Pol Martin. It was named “IPK” – in German language “Internet- und Projektkompetenz”.
This original concept had been adapted to the teacher training curriculum in 2008 by Prof. Dr. KlaudiaSchultheis (Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt) and was first tested with Prof. Dr. Iliana Mirtschewa (Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Bulgaria) and in the following years evaluated with Prof. Dr. Leigh Ausband (University of North Carolina Charlotte, USA). Over the time the IPC community expanded.
Currently partner universities of eight countries and three continents are collaborating in the IPC project. We are a growing community. If you are interested in further information or collaboration please contact us.
The IPC project partners meet annually to discuss the experience, the evaluation and improve the concept (2013 in Eichstaett, Germany, 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria, 2015 in Granada, Spain, 2016 in Poznan, Poland, 2017 in Eichstaett, Germany, 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria and 2019 in Fullerton, California). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic IPC meetings have to be held online at the moment.
